Here's what our participants say...

We Make Learning Fun!

Ten hours may seem like a long day, but not to our participants. We make learning fun by using a number of different training methods. This also helps ensure that we are meeting everyone's learning styles. We include visuals, group work, games, and most importantly, hands-on practice on live dogs, plush dogs and cats and industry standard CPR mannequins.

What Our Graduates Say!

Margaret Blackman, Director, Helping Homeless Pets

The course was good, but I never thought I would need it the second I walked in the door at home last night! Pogo went down while I was at the course. He was paralyzed (we covered this in class) and so I immediately transported him to the VEC for emergency back surgery. Pogo looked so sad and helpless. This has to be some sort of a record, hitting a first aid situation before the ink is dry on the certificate! I think every pet owner should take the course and MOST DEFINITELY every rescue foster home. I will be plugging this on HHP and Tiny Paws for sure.

I wanted to drop this email to you to let you know what a fantastic day I had, along with my chocolate lab Molly, taking the Pet First Aid course. Lynda Kitson did the course and I was so shocked to see all the updates & changes made to this course since the last time I took it 3 years ago with Lynda. The course is fantastic and should be mandatory for anyone with a pet or working in the various pet fields - whether it is a dog walker, doggie daycare, groomer, etc. The information and confidence that Lynda provides to you is amazing. Please let everyone at Who's Walking Who know that both Lynda and the Pet First Aid are phenomenal and I loved it!

Audrey Reindeau Portiss

Excellent course! I feel much better prepared for any emergency, whether it be out on a hike, at home, or at work with my detector dog. Thank you Lynda! Well presented and the practical exercises were invaluable.

K9 Compass provided a very informative Pet First Aid course. I have recommended this course to many people since. The course is thorough with the procedures you learn hands-on and there is even a test at the end to ensure you actually paid attention.

I am writing to share a happy story based on taking the Pet First Aid course. Yesterday I picked up and walked a 13 year old English Cocker Spaniel named Finnegan. As I watched him, he was continually smacking his lips and swallowing. He then threw up a huge amount of food covered in copious amounts of white foam. The lip smacking continued and his stomach began to harden. Yes you guessed it - BLOAT! Due to the freshness in my mind from the video during the course, I called his owner, had her call their vet and got Finnegan there immediately. The x-rays showed his stomach so full of gas, the vet couldn't believe his eyes. Finnegan is doing fine and came home today. You just never know what can happen. A big thanks for suggesting this course. We are eternally grateful for being able to save this dog's life!

Emily Fisher, Owner, Scratch and Sniff

Excellent course! I've hosted workshops by K9 Compass at my business multiple times, and always get excellent feedback from participants. 5 Stars for sure!

Heather Ferris

I took the course last November and really enjoyed it! Granted my first aid kit has been used more for my son and the neighbourhood kids, than my cat & dog, but at least I always have one fully stocked now!!

Susan Stevens

So much great information and having an opportunity for hands on practice was very helpful!

Maureen Clune

It was a great course! Very informative and well taught.
