It is my understanding that notwithstanding the exercise of due care and control of the attending dogs whether on my part or those of the other owners or handlers this Pet First Aid course is not without risk, not only to myself, but also to other participants as well as to my dog.

I do hereby indemnify and release K9 Compass, its owner, the facility, its owner(s) and the grounds or the area thereto surrounding, from any and all liability of any kind or nature, that my dog, members of my family or guests may suffer, including specifically, but not limited to, any damage, injury or loss resulting from the action or inaction or any other reason or cause whatsoever, by any dog or its owner or handler, and I expressly assume the risk of any such damage, injury or loss while attending the Pet First Aid course, either on the grounds or the area thereto surrounding.

In consideration of, and as inducement to, the acceptance of my application for the Pet First Aid course offered by K9 Compass, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless, K9 Compass and its owner from any and all claims, suits, injuries, debts, demands, or charges of any whatsoever kind including lawyer's fees which may be brought by me, or claims by any member of my family or other person accompanying me or my dog to the Pet First Aid class while on the grounds or the area thereto surrounding, as a result of any action or inaction, or any other reason or cause whatsoever, by any dog, including my own, or its owner or handler.

I acknowledge that while the information and techniques presented in this course are complete and accurate to the best of our knowledge and ability, they are provided for the general information of participants and are in no way intended to replace the care and advice of a competent veterinary professional. In all cases of animal sickness or injury, such veterinary care should be sought immediately.

My dog will lie quietly in its crate (which I will bring) or next to me for long periods of time. My dog is friendly with other dogs and people and has never hurt another dog or person. My dog's vaccinations are up to date and it is in good fitness and health. K9 Compass reserves the right to request any dog that is disruptive be removed from class. *
